Which numbers do your name and your birthday carry?

Every letter of your birth name has a value, every date a digit sum. From these come six core numbers — Life Path, Expression, Soul Urge, Personality, Birthday and Maturity number — and your personal year. We show every step of the calculation.

1 · Value the letters

A = 1, B = 2 … I = 9, then it starts over: J = 1, K = 2 — the Pythagorean system. Ä counts as AE, ß as SS.

2 · Reduce the sums

Name parts and date parts are added and reduced separately until a number from 1 to 9 remains — or a master number 11, 22, 33.

3 · Read the numbers

The Life Path number comes from the date, the Expression number from all letters, Soul Urge and Personality number from vowels and consonants.
