Libra and Capricorn
Air meets earth · Grace and ambition
Libra wants it beautiful, Capricorn wants it solid. Both are cardinal and make beginnings – Libra in togetherness, Capricorn in their work. A respectful combination with a different pace and a different temperature.
First encounter
Libra is charming, Capricorn is reserved – and Libra takes that as a challenge. Capricorn appreciates that Libra has style and doesn't crowd them; Libra appreciates that Capricorn has substance and doesn't ingratiate themselves. The first encounter is cultivated and a little formal. Both are cardinal and know what they want – they just show it differently.
What unites them
Both value form, quality and a good reputation. Libra gives Capricorn social ease and an eye for other people; Capricorn gives Libra reliability, structure and the ability to see decisions through. Together they make a confident impression and complement each other in what success needs: relationships and stamina. Both are loyal and value tradition. The bond grows over the years, because Capricorn needs time to warm up and Libra gives them that time.
Where it rubs
Capricorn works, Libra wants company – and each feels neglected by the other. Libra experiences Capricorn as cool, strict and unsociable; Capricorn experiences Libra as superficial, indecisive and eager to please. Both cardinal signs want to be in charge: Libra of the tone, Capricorn of the direction. The translation: Capricorn shows affection not only through achievement, Libra says what they really want – and both recognise the other's contribution to their shared standing.
