Sagittarius and Aquarius
Fire meets air · Freedom and the future
Sagittarius and Aquarius are two freedom-lovers looking ahead: Sagittarius seeks meaning, Aquarius seeks progress. Both are tolerant, unconventional and happiest among people – a light, idea-rich, friendly combination.
First encounter
Sagittarius has a conviction, Aquarius has a theory, and the two of them debate it late into the night. Sagittarius likes Aquarius's originality, Aquarius likes Sagittarius's enthusiasm. The first encounter is stimulating, uncomplicated and free of expectations – neither pushes, neither clings. Air feeds fire, and here a friendship burns before anyone talks of more.
What unites them
Freedom, ideals, curiosity. Both grant each other their own paths and take an interest in people, ideas and the future. Aquarius gives Sagittarius constancy in their convictions and an eye for the common good; Sagittarius gives Aquarius warmth, enthusiasm and permission to be unreasonable now and then. Both are rarely jealous, humorous and generous. Together they are a couple that wants to change the world – and has a lot of fun doing it.
Where it rubs
Aquarius is fixed and insists on principles, Sagittarius is mutable and changes its mind with the horizon – Aquarius experiences that as insincere, Sagittarius experiences Aquarius as dogmatic. Both live in their heads and in the future; feeling, body and everyday life get short shrift. Sagittarius can irritate Aquarius with lectures, Aquarius can irritate Sagittarius with coldness. The translation: see standpoints as contributions, tend to warmth deliberately – and arrive in the here and now once in a while.
