Sagittarius and Pisces
Fire meets water · Two seekers
Sagittarius and Pisces traditionally share Jupiter as their ruler: both seek something greater – Sagittarius in the world, Pisces in the soul. Two mutable signs with a longing: an idealistic, fluid combination.
First encounter
Sagittarius tells stories, Pisces dreams along – and both are off somewhere others can't reach. Pisces admires the confidence of Sagittarius, Sagittarius admires the empathy of Pisces. The first encounter is warm, imaginative and a little unreal. Both are big-hearted and tolerant, and only later do both notice that Sagittarius is loud where Pisces is quiet.
What unites them
Idealism, compassion, a longing for meaning. Both believe in something greater and are generous with people. Sagittarius gives Pisces courage, direction and the encouragement to carry dreams out into the world; Pisces gives Sagittarius depth, sensitivity and the inkling that truth is not only found but also felt. Both mutable signs adapt and forgive easily. Together they are a couple with a lot of imagination and little resentment.
Where it rubs
Sagittarius is loud, direct and tactless; Pisces is sensitive, indirect and vulnerable. What Sagittarius means as an honest opinion hits Pisces deeply – and Pisces withdraws, which Sagittarius doesn't notice. Sagittarius needs freedom, Pisces needs closeness. Both are non-committal and impractical; nobody holds everyday life together. The translation: Sagittarius softens the tone and listens for undertones; Pisces speaks their hurts out loud instead of disappearing – and one of the two takes on the grounding.
