Taurus and Sagittarius
Earth meets fire · Staying and travelling
Taurus has a home, Sagittarius has a destination. Both are able to enjoy and generous, but they see life from different windows: one from the garden, the other from the train. An unequal combination with a lot of potential for learning.
First encounter
Sagittarius talks about travels, Taurus about recipes – and each finds that surprisingly interesting in the other. Sagittarius values the calm of Taurus, who doesn't constantly question them; Taurus values the humour and open-mindedness of Sagittarius, which bring a breath of fresh air. The early days are often cheerful and carefree. Only later does it emerge how differently they understand commitment.
What unites them
Both are generous, honest and like living life to the full – Taurus at the table, Sagittarius in experience. They are rarely angry with each other, because Sagittarius holds no grudges and Taurus doesn't dramatise. Sagittarius gets Taurus out of the house and shows them that the world is bigger than their garden; Taurus shows Sagittarius that arriving is not a loss. If both see that as enrichment, they complement each other in depth and breadth.
Where it rubs
Sagittarius needs freedom, Taurus needs reliability – and each feels the other's need as an imposition. Taurus feels abandoned, Sagittarius feels locked in. Over money and risk they are far apart too: Taurus secures, Sagittarius dares. Sagittarius can irritate Taurus with lectures, Taurus can wear Sagittarius down with stubbornness. The translation: Sagittarius keeps what they promise, Taurus grants leeway without reading it as a turning away.
Frequently asked questions
Are Taurus and Sagittarius a good match?
They complement each other in groundedness and breadth, but need a lot of tolerance to do so. Whether their needs meet is shown by the Moon, Venus and Jupiter in both charts.
What does Taurus learn from Sagittarius?
That security can also lie in mobility. Sagittarius learns from Taurus that depth comes from staying – and that a home makes travelling more beautiful.
