Virgo and Aquarius
Earth meets air · Practice and theory
Virgo wants it to work; Aquarius wants it to be new. Both are clever and unsentimental, but they think on different levels: one in the concrete, the other in the concept. A cool, intelligent combination.
First encounter
Aquarius develops a theory, Virgo asks how that is supposed to work in practice – and Aquarius, against expectations, finds the question interesting. Both are head people and recognise that in each other. The first encounter is factual, stimulating and not very emotional; neither pushes for closeness, and both appreciate that. Virgo admires the breadth of Aquarius, Aquarius admires the precision of Virgo.
What unites them
Both are analytical, honest and rarely jealous. Aquarius gives Virgo perspective, ideas and permission to question rules; Virgo gives Aquarius execution, order and the proof that ideas can work. Both are interested in improvement – Virgo of what exists, Aquarius of the system. Working together they are strong: concept and execution from one source. Together they are a couple that discusses a lot and argues little.
Where it rubs
Virgo finds Aquarius erratic, impractical and opinionated; Aquarius finds Virgo petty, anxious and conventional. Fixed Aquarius insists on principles, mutable Virgo on details – and neither likes letting go. Feelings are underexposed in both; together the bond can become a very good working partnership that lacks warmth. The translation: make deliberate time for the non-useful and the non-theoretical – and say affection out loud instead of deducing it.
Frequently asked questions
Are Virgo and Aquarius a good match?
Intellectually good, emotionally reserved. Whether enough warmth is added is shown by the Moon and Venus in both charts; a fire or water Moon on one side helps.
What does Aquarius value in Virgo?
That Virgo takes their ideas seriously and brings them into the world. Virgo values that Aquarius thinks them out of their routine.
